Meet Kyle Ettinger, a fifteen year old kid from Cupertino, California that is one of the most feared pilots in the emerging world of drone combat. Despite being half the age of his rival competitors, Kyle is a force to be reckoned with in the drone fight club world. The teenager first picked up his first drone quadcopter two years ago and has discovered a passion for battling drones in organized techy fight clubs across the bay area. These battles are organized by the drone sporting companies aerial sports league and game of drones which now sponsors the young teen. His father, Gary Ettinger is an engineer that has assisted his son in customizing his drones for combat.
In the latest battle shown here in this video, the Ettingers arrive at Maker Faire in San Mateo, Ca to compete in the leagues biggest tournament. Equipped with their latest drone, the "The Carbon Crasher" is a battle drone surrounded by a sphere of carbon fiber rods that protect its propellers. Its equipped with a hook designed to flip its competition out of control.
